Happy Halloween! Crate Kings reader Matty Melks went to work and created Night of The Undead Funk, a Halloween inspired remix of the classic horror film Night of The Living Dead. The spooky movie remix/production video features multiple instruments, costumes, and flesh eating zombies.
The dopeness…
Personally I could have done without the intro, but this is some undead funk YO.
“This is the Yes, the Yes, and the yaw yaw yeah!” Happy Halloween!
Brilliant.
Nice!
Fuckin Ill! Love the wicked dark shit!
crazy ass death funk!
haha this is dopeeee!!!!
Thanks to everybody who left a comment! glad you like it – was kinda slapped together because I only realized I wanted to do a Halloween themed beat vid this last week, but it’s def opened up ideas in my mind
BTW – IRONY – the use of Night Of The Living Dead is legal because it’s public domain, but if I sampled some obscure record from the same era I would be breaking the law – so stupid
Great video. Really digging the footage at the beginning – that upright bass playing is too dope. Costumes are crazy too! Matty Melks got his own sound with the organ & upright & he always keeps it funky. Space funk. Definite entertainment/inspiration.
good work son.

We absolutely love your blog and find many of your post’s to be just what I’m looking for. Do you offer guest writers to write content in your case? I wouldn’t mind writing a post or elaborating on a lot of the subjects you write about here. Again, awesome site!
