Matty Melks Presents: Night of The Undead Funk

Happy Halloween! Crate Kings reader Matty Melks went to work and created Night of The Undead Funk, a Halloween inspired remix of the classic horror film Night of The Living Dead. The spooky movie remix/production video features multiple instruments, costumes, and flesh eating zombies.

  1. Thanks to everybody who left a comment! glad you like it – was kinda slapped together because I only realized I wanted to do a Halloween themed beat vid this last week, but it’s def opened up ideas in my mind

BTW – IRONY – the use of Night Of The Living Dead is legal because it’s public domain, but if I sampled some obscure record from the same era I would be breaking the law – so stupid

  2. Great video. Really digging the footage at the beginning – that upright bass playing is too dope. Costumes are crazy too! Matty Melks got his own sound with the organ & upright & he always keeps it funky. Space funk. Definite entertainment/inspiration.

  3. We absolutely love your blog and find many of your post’s to be just what I’m looking for. Do you offer guest writers to write content in your case? I wouldn’t mind writing a post or elaborating on a lot of the subjects you write about here. Again, awesome site!
