How It Should Sound w/ Damu The Fudgemunk (Promo)

Damu The Fudgemunk returns with a promo video for his upcoming release How It Should Sound parts 1 & 2, which is scheduled for an April 2010 release.

In the promo, the multi-talented producer crafts a few gems inside of the vinyl lined walls of his basement headquarters while showing off his collection of trackboards, keyboards, turntables, drums, and other musical instruments.

  1. Good ol damu. I just want him to update his sound a tad bit! Just a lil!! Also, that is still the gayest name I’ve ever heard so far.

      • Chatroom name and stage name…two different things. When you see an album by a guy named spank delux then you may joke about it, lol.

    • what do you mean by “update his sound a tad”?

it’s his signature and it’s something very few producers have anymore.

  2. I wish people would get off that…”I wish he would update his sound”.
Or “he tries too hard to sound 90’s” bullshit

Just let him do him and stfu and enjoy the dopeness of a talented beat maker/MC/ deejay….

  3. “Spank delux” the album isn’t for you. You want a different sound? Look elsewhere or make something of your own.

    • how dare I offer my opinion in the comments section of a internet blog!!!

Jokes aside, I suppose your right though.

  4. The f…en video quality is worse than sh.t, Too bad i couldn’t enjoy due to the skipping of audio and video. Vimeo sucks a.s.

    • yeh…the cuttin in and out is wack. But the video quality is a Fudgemunk request. It’s some sorta camera filter technique he asked for in a previous vid and has continued using…

  5. Video works fine for me. Spank Delux is a clown. Damu is killing at the end on the cuts & yo the vibes! Definitely gonna cop this.

& how is Damu the Fudgemunk a gayer name than James Pants or Peanut Butter Wolf?

  6. always gotta expect some trolls on the net. just think what you could accomplish if that time was spent doing something else. at the same time, who can say what is or is not productive for the next man.

me? if i dont care for something i just don’t pay it too much mindshare, at least if that’s an option (unlike say, war or healthcare or police profiling, etc). life is too short to focus on what you dont need or want. try to do something great or fulfilling with your time.

as well all know, there is a ton of noise out there competing for your attention. all kinds of interruptions can be found across all formats and mediums, so to be able to find a way to have a voice and reach even a modest but receptive audience is becoming increasingly difficult.

for those who DO appreciate what damu does sonically; you’ll love this album, so as we always say, thanks for your time & attention.

semantik – thanks for posting this and for hosting the best / most diverse comments section on any production related site.

    • While I personally love damu, I wouldnt call somebody who doesnt like him a “troll”. I think its healthy for people to politely disagree. Now insulting his name is just silly. lol. Especially from somebody who’s name online is “Spank” but again, I respect the fact that he didnt just hate and say “Sh*t is wack, blah blah”. He explained why he didnt like it and moved on.

Damu, Please keep it up. Love the throwback sound

  7. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Internet-Troll

In Internet slang, a troll is someone who posts inflammatory, extraneous, or off-topic messages in an online community, such as an online discussion forum, chat room or blog, with the primary intent of provoking other users into an emotional response[1] or of otherwise disrupting normal on-topic discussion

  8. damu always bringin’ the heat! his style definitely doesn’t need to be updated. if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it! lookin’ forward to this project.
