His philosophy is having someone else to do it while he puts his name on it. It’s been that way since Mary J. Blige days.
Nah kid he was a specialist at it!
Dude never did a damn beat in his life. Maybe one or two, but name the last beat Puffy did that was all him.
Thats the real definition of a producer…Puff has an excellent ear for the hits…the producer who just makes the beats..only exist in hip hop.
nice sweater.
It kills me how dudes wont give this guy the credit he is do. Most of the guys who doubt Puff are purists like me : we like dudes who stay mad creative regardless of commercial success. I feel that, but how can you deny the quincy jones of rap? Without Puff, you might have never heard Biggy! The guy has a keen ear for what sounds good, and although he’s no sample chopper, he understands what will move people, and he has a gazillion hits. I wish I had a dude like Puff in my crew.
preach puff preach.
RESPECT P DITTY !
OVER 60 MILLION SOLD ! NOBODY HAS DONE THE NUMBERS LIKE DITTY MAYBE WACO JACO & ELVIS.THE GUY IS A GENIOUS HE SCULPTED BIGGE INTO ONE OF THE BIGGEST HIP HOP FIGURES IN RAP HISTORY !AND MANY MANY HITS BEFORE AND AFTER THAT.I AIN’T ON NO ONES JOCK BUT DIDDY IS WHO I AIM TO BE ONE DAY.AND I DON’T EVEN HAFTO MAKE MY OWN TRACKS lol
Puffy ruined Hip-Hop. Fuck him.
