In an older interview with Urban Smarts, Madlib talks about working with multiple artists simultaneously, basic equipment setup (303 sampler, SP 12, and track board), and recording the entire Madvillain album about a week and a half Madlib also talks about his first professional experience in music, releasing the first Lootpack 12”, and a scrapped Tribe Called Quest album/collaboration.
