Boundless Radio sits down with DJ, crate digger, and producer Large Producer to discuss the perseverance of real hip-hop and the influence of Main Source. Large Professor also talks about some of his most notable work including “Live At The Barbeque” and “Looking At The Front Door”, then reveals his favorite record of all time, Bohannon’s Stop & Go.

Large I’m ready when you are to record.
Surprised by the Bohannon co sign. I got the album in the crates and haven’t listened to since I dont know when, maybe once or twice but it goes to show. Knowing Xtra-P is a digga you would think he would name some ultra-rare shit that was private pressed or some obscure northern soul 45 or whatever but Bohannon shows that era of the 70’s party record that if you were a youngsta coming up and your parents partied to that shit it would have more impact on you. I’ma digg that joint up tonite and check it out…
All time? Wow that’s a real tough one, for me to decide, anyway….I guess it has a lot to do with the memories the piece brings back overall, among other things, for new finds, I guess.
Not a bad choice by a longshot, especially comin from the god xtra P!!
QBORO represent to the death!!
And whats not to like? save our souls, singing a song for my mother & time for peace has so many spots to chop its not even funny, plus you can zone out to it…and thats what its all about…
But if I had to pick 1 fav album TODAY….lol…
maybe Kool in the gang “light of the worlds” cause its got everything….
but yeah hes right you can go on and on with that 1…….
Heres a few of my persoanl ALL TIME favs…
-Marc Moulin “ball of eyes”
-Ahmad jamal “jamaica”
-Ohio Players “Ecstacy/Pleasure/Pain”
-Donald Bird “Street Lady”
-Funkadelic “Funkadelic”

I got to put a quick top five in there cuz Blackwater did, lol!
Donny Hathaway “Live”
James Brown “It’s a Mother”
Cymande “Dove”
Herbie Hancock “Maiden Voyage”
Gil Scott Heron/Brian Jackson “It’s Your World”
All that vinyl and he is still using Serato.
I was thinking the same thing.
I think that setup is at the Boundless store or something cause the DJ Shiftee interview was the same.
PS. Clark Kent samples that Bohannon record on Resonable Doubt ( Cashmere Thoughts)
I had the honor of diggin with this brother and all i can say is after all these years, Xtra P still goes hard when it comes to diggin, to the point where i actually had to leave him in Jerry’s until they closed cause he didn’t want to leave. Salute!
BTW – My fav record right now is Dorothy Ashby “Afro Harping”
