Legendary producers Boola and Ski Beatz take some time out to have personal conversation about their favorite experiences while working in the studio and individual projects, Cut From A Different Cloth and 24 Hour Karate School Pt. 2. The two then head into the studio to get deeper into the music, unreleased music, and letting out your creativity.

  1. for whatever reason, NO vimeo vids have been working on any site for me. Strange. I’d love to see this vid because I think Boola is a very slept on producer. He played a big, yet understated, role in the Roc dynasty specifically with the state prop crew.

  2. “I was the happiest & the dopest when I was making what “I” wanted to make!” The best quote in the whole vid! That’s what it’s all about, DOING YOU! The money & the fame will come, do it for the love of hip hop!

  3. Well to be honest, Ski and Boola doesn’t even have to worry about pleasing anybody.

Cuz really these guys are legends and respected in there own right, had success. Nobody can’t really knock them.

I think its much different from beatmakers and producers thats upstart like me or guys tryna make a name for themselves. These guys gotta make sure the tracks poppin for the artist and please the listeners ears.

    • That goes for everyone though bro even up n comers. Its just so RARE in this day and age for a new producer to have his or her own sound. Think of the sea of copycats out there right now.

  4. Both of these guys are legendary! Glad they took some time out to share with the music community.

  5. This just spoke to me. I have been making music to please other folks, but not really the stuff I’m “known” for. Watching this just confirms what I’ve should have been doing all along: me. I will be much happier and relaxed in the studio. I needed to watch this. Thank you.
