247HH talks with DJ Jazzy Jeff talks about witnessing the beginning of hip-hop, Philadelphia’s focus on the DJ, and the strengths and weaknesses of DJ’s using Serato.
I started DJ’ing pretty much before hip-hop.
Serato has kinda made a lot of people play the exact same way.
He hit it right on the mark. If you sucked as a dj before Serato, you will suck even more with it. Too many people get it twisted. Serato doesn`t make you better,it makes it easier for the skilled dj to do his/her thing more efficiently. That`s all.
Good knowledge drops by Jeff, I learned something today lol. I will learn how to DJ properly from now on.
The matha-effin’ man.
I co-sign x 1,000,000
He’s one of the best dj’s his mixes are never sloppy and original vinyl always better but serato so convenient.
THIS IS WHY PEOPLE LIKE JAZZY JEFF ARE SO ELOQUENT ABOUT CERTAIN SUBJECTS.WHETHER U ROCK VINYL OR SERATO,IT IS THE SKILLS AND CREATIVITY THAT U BRING TO EITHER WHICH WILL DETERMINE IF U ARE GOOD OR WACK.
I LOVE SERATO BUT I KNOW THAT IT DID NOT MAKE ME A BETTER DJ.IT JUST MADE IT MORE CONVIENT TO CARRY MORE SONGS WITH ME THAN RATHER LUGGING CRATES OF RECORDS EVERYWHERE.TOO MUCH OF A BURDEN FOR SOMEONE OVER 40 LIKE MYSELF.I PAID MY DUES CARRYING CRATES.NOW IT IS TIME TO MAKE A BETTER TRANSITION TO BRING MORE SONGS TO PLEASE THE CROWD THAT I AM PLAYING FOR.
Kinda want him and Will to work on something new. Is that weird? lol
I heard they were out in Europe doing shows a couple of years ago.
Real Talk!
Why does he seem upset? Like smackdown upset?
Big Ups to the Legendary DJ Jazzy Jeff
