Large Professor tells the story of receiving his first sampler, an E-mu SP-1200 and passing along his first beat to Marley Marl, which was used by Intelligent Hoodlum, then going on work with Kool G Rap, and more.

I love Large Professor! Great story on that first beat! I remember in Scratch mag (#14 2006 if you have it) where he talked & had a nice article in there! The story he just told was the same there! He is in my top three producers that have touched me. Your list may be different, so don’t beat me up about it, lol! Dude is real down to earth & humble. The reason I say this is because when a cat of his status can drop by to respond to you on your Myspace after you just dropped a post on his just saying “hi” & how he made a difference in hip hop for you, THAT IS BIG! At least for me it was, because that is what he did! I’m just a nobody, trying to make it where he is! So that was a big moment for me! Lots of famous cats just don’t take time to do that. Big ups to Large Pro, he is the man & I love his music!
i feel the same way about justice league them dudes is super down to earth
Completely agree bro. When a successful artist takes time to reach out to their fans persoanlly that is an awesome feeling. Also makes me want to support that artist more. Nothing worse than a out of wack ego.
Dope interwiew, but damn that soundquality sucks!! Im not a audiophile but damn!
I want to point out my affection for your kind-heartedness supporting those individuals that require help on this important question. Your real commitment to getting the message up and down came to be amazingly helpful and has usually encouraged employees much like me to achieve their dreams. The helpful advice denotes a lot to me and even further to my office colleagues. Regards; from each one of us.
