This cat is eternally ill. I automatically hear Mos on all of those, lol. 88 probably cleans his records, but it’s probably what he’s runnin the table through to really clean it up before it hits the MP. I can only imagine Jay Elect, Joell Ortiz, or even Bishop Lamont on those beats, too. Eternally Ill.
A post later there is the interview with Statik….And yeah props to him and his new album…but i can not imagine to work without an MP. Specially after watching this vid. Such a ill dude on a dope machine.
@TonyTraxx I use FL’s Edison for chopping and Ableton for arrangements. Best combo for sampling for me thus far.
Haven’t heard from 88 in a while. His blog is dope. Yeah I’m bout to hop on my drum machine too. Mad inspiring!
Dont get me wrong, 88 keys is shit hot, but (and this goes to most major rappers/producers) whats the point in wasting all that money on renting such a high end studio? The only real money that should be spent after beat/producer fee’s should be on Mastering (and possibly mixing) Apart from that beats are made on DAW or hardware samplers after that all you need is a good mic and pre.
Yeah I agree. Just buy the equipment, it saves a lot of money in the end over studio time.

Sound Forge is a good stand alone audio editor. I use it to chop and do all my sample/audio editing.
