Monster and Dr. Dre have announced a pair of over the ear headphones that are both smaller in size and price than original Beats by Dr. Dre headphones. The Beats Solo headphones, which Monster promises will maintain the same sound quality as the Beats by Dr. Dre model, will be available in November of 2009 with a suggest retail price of $219.95.

Word these are way expensive. Wait until your gettin money to hook up with a pair of these.
I bought the white solos a month ago and used them everyday at work in my office. One day I put them on my head and heard a sudden snap. Took them off and found that it broke right before some screws. I read other reviews and I’m not the only one with this problem. People are calling for recall but Monster hasn’t listen. I’m going through the process with Monster right now in getting a new pair to replace my broken one. I’m very disappointed in Dr. Dre for putting his name on this product but he probably doesn’t care as long as he gets his share of the pie and leaving his fans questioning their loyalty to his brand. Your best bet is getting the in-ear than these rip offs.
@nikone
that’s true!!
i was almost buy the solo!!
lucky i watched youtube i night before, and i got so many people got the same problem!!
now i’m confuse to make a dicission! should i buy beats???
Does Beat Solo is easy to brake???
My tours broke real fast…twice….
Solo HDs are more durable and wont break compared to the solos, thats why they cost more and is called “HD’s”
Beats solo hd will snap but less chance of it. However the solo hd hinges will get loose very easily. I got my beats solo hd for 2 months now and the hinges are getting loose. I don’t know why.

I was putting my Dr.Dre beats on & my head phones just cracked rght by the ear piece on the rght side they still work fine but for over 200$ they shouldn’t break like that. I’m tryn to get a replacement pair now because the quality in sound is great.
