Think Talk hits us off with a thorough in studio interview/Q&A session with producers Chucky Thompson (Hitmen/BadBoy) & Salaam Remi (Toni Braxton, Nas) as they discuss their first professional work, hustling beats, business matters, and the importance of relationships.
At one point Chucky Thompson let’s it slip that working with Nas requires "a lot of aspirin", then quickly covers with the general psychological aspect of producing all artists.
I bow down to Chucky! Just like T.R. he’s a complete “LEGEND” (Perhaps somewhat overlooked) Truly innovative, & truly musical…”My Life” is one of my fav albums of all time, the production on that record is insane! & the album is a true journey, beginning to end…Def one of my fav & most inspiring producers of all time. I remember when I was buying records (pre-serato) Chucky was one of the few producers or artists, that if his name was anywhere in print on the label (Production credits, songwriting etc) I would buy it immediately without needing to listen…Incredible!!…I also remember late 90’s I couldn’t turn off ‘EOL’ – ‘I Love the Way’ (Track & of course, Instrumental) Serious fire!!…Anyway, like I said I Bow Down…PZ…PJ…
Agreed… Chucky Booker gets all my respect. The work he did back in the 90’s was amazing!
Dope interview, Pedro (at the end of the vid) kinda creeped me out tho. Interviewer was cute, her nose was weird lookin as hell but she still managed to be cute. lol
Good vid. RILEYBOY BEATS.
man that interviewer seemed like she did her research on them but isn’t a real fan of the art you feel me? she was very non hip hop, but hey, thats life!
@SEF
True… it was one of the better interviews I’ve seen, but she just didn’t come across as one of those people who got excited about the craft.
