I was just bumping around and wasting a little time when I ran across this interview where J Dilla discusses the use of beats and ID tags. Of course there are many more lessons to be learned, so pay attention… you might just get schooled.

I think J-Dilla's the real man & deserves some true respect
each & every beat he makes(that I usually repeat about six times before it sinks in) has it's own uniqueness...big ups to all the artists that ever worked with him, it's a bummer I couldn't be part of it...peace (Theko-South Africa)

Is there anyway you can contact J Dilla about a new artist? Goes by the name C-Band, This guy could really bring the west back with the right beats. You can hear his music on reverbnation.com/cband619 or some of his old videos are on youtube under mirage9teen67. All that music is old. New CD will be completed in July. Frank 619-400-7941 I guarantee U will know he is good
